Fun with your peers in Lifelong Learning!

Lifelong Learning is a program sponsored by Lincoln Street Inc. The focus is to provide the people we support the opportunity to teach classes or take classes based upon a topic they are passionate about or wish to learn about.

Participants run the program with assistance from a Lifelong Learning Coordinator who assists with organizing class offerings. A catalog of offerings is created with course descriptions, date, time and location to assure interested individuals can attend!

With an emphasis on community connections, Lifelong Learning supports folks to attend and teach classes of interest by identifying their topics of interest, conducting research, connecting with experts, and then sharing their knowledge. Those choosing to teach a class can also invite in community members with expertise in the subject to co teach, thereby creating community connection!

Class topics can range from dinosaurs, world travel, creative writing, tattoos, various animals, and hobbies, the sky is the limit! While choosing what to present to their peers, people are also learning soft skills such as research, scheduling and public presentation.

LSI sponsors Lifelong Learning at other agencies. The opportunity exists for groups to get together either in person or online to share class offerings across settings. More fun!
